Travelling By Car
There is a car park at the entrance to Heritage Way on the Trencherfield Mill site which is FREE after 6pm, or just £2.50 before then.
Please note: While there are a small number of public parking spaces at the Wood Street end of Trencherfield Mill, the vast majority are for residents only. Be careful where you park as these spaces are monitored by wardens.

Public Transport
The Engine Room is a short walk from both Wigan train stations and Wigan bus station too. We reccommend using public transport wherever you can to make the planet last a bit longer.
Travelling by train
The theatre is a 6-minute walk from both Wigan train stations. When arriving from either Wigan Wallgate Station or Wigan Central Station, turn onto Wallgate and follow the road downhill until you come to the A577. Follow this road until you come to Dominoes pizza restaurant. Turn left at Dominoes onto Heritage Way where you will see Trencherfield Mill directly in front of you. Follow the road to the left of the Mill to get to the rear of the building where will you see the Mill at the Pier signage and access to ThickSkin’s building via the double doors to left of the building next to the canal.
Travelling by bus
The nearest bus stop is Clayton Street. If arriving at Wigan Bus Station, you can get any of the following directly to Clayton Street: 610, 352, 601, 603, 604. Alternatively, it takes 16 minutes to walk from the bus station.
When you get off the bus at Clayton Street, walk towards Dominoes pizza restaurant and turn left onto Heritage Way where you will see Trencherfield Mill directly in front of you. Follow the road to the left of the Mill to get to the rear ofthe building where will you see the Mill at the Pier signage and access to ThickSkin’s building via the double doors to left of the building next to the canal.
